Barbara Bennett Founder, Owner, Trainer
A former licensed practical nurse originally from Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, Barbara Bennett worked in doctors’ offices in the area – work that she found to be less and less rewarding. Endlessly searching for a gym that was a good fit – and not finding one – added to her general frustration.
A friend invited Barbara to her studio to test ryde a RealRyder®. It was a game changer for the girl who failed high school gym, the woman who pushed her bike up steep hills and took a few spinning classes. Finally, she found a program that fulfilled her personal needs for fun and fitness.
Barb began to really “feel the ride” and it changed her personally and physically. She bought her first road bike in February of 2103 and seven months later, finished a 107 mile Grand Fondo and later completed the NYC Bike Tour and the Revolutionary Ramble. Now an avid and accomplished cyclist, Barb shares her RealRyder® passion with clients of Velocity, the boutique fitness studio she established in September 2017 in Lebanon, New Jersey.
Jennifer Tavormina Trainer, Part-time Studio Manager
Jennifer Tavormina began her fitness journey in 2012 after the birth of her fourth child. Desperate to find an exercise routine that fit her lifestyle and level, she bounced around machines and classes for a few years.
In the summer of 2014, Jennifer found herself in an indoor cycling class for the first time, discovering not only a routine, but a passion. By the end of the year she was certified as a SPIN instructor through Mad Dogg Athletics.
In addition to cycling, Jennifer teaches serval group fitness classes, including TRX Suspension Training, HIIT, Boot Camp for adults and children, Functional Fitness & Strength, and BOSU through Balance, Pilates and Barre.
Jennifer has taught at health clubs in Warren County, New Jersey, and is thrilled to be a member of the Velocity Fitness Studio team. She is certified by RealRyder® Indoor Cycling, TRX Suspension Training, and ASFA for Group Fitness. She also is pursuing a certification in personal training.
A stay-at-home mother of four, she shares her passion for fitness and health with her children as well as her clients.
John Feddersen Yoga Instructor
After 15 years in the stressful field of media, John Feddersen’s world changed dramatically in 2002 with the pop of the “dot com” bubble. Laid off and facing an uncertain future, John’s fears were quieted by the calming effects of a practice he had begun as a student just three years earlier – yoga.
The next two years represented a reinvention of what John once believed to be the ideals of life, the recognition and admission of being caught up in the “Rat Race.” Jumping off the gerbil wheel and into a whole new perspective boggled John’s mind, which turned out to be a good thing. He traveled worldwide, took courses with spiritual notables, embraced a philosophy of living in the moment, and all of that culminated in his becoming a yoga instructor.
For 15 years, John has enjoyed an exclusively full-time yoga schedule. Certified under Devilila, a Hatha Yoga derivative, John leads classes that are always progressive. It is difficult to describe his precise style, as classes can vary greatly. An almost seamless blend of spiritual wisdom in John’s yoga classes can add an awakening dimension to the overall experience.

Kirsli took a four-year hiatus from cycling when she gave birth to twins and began riding with Velocity Fitness Studio on its opening day. Kirsli fell in love with the RealRyder all over again, which ignited her desire to teach.
She loves heavy climbs and fast sprints; the more intense the ryde, the better! Come join her for a class – you will definitely need a towel!
